Emergency routing.Urgent calls reach your on-call dentist.
When a caller describes something your protocol treats as urgent, Leady stops booking and routes the call to the dentist on call tonight, from the roster your practice keeps. It gives no clinical advice, and it comes with every license.
Sample on-call roster for this week: tonight Dr. A. Reyes is first on call and the associate dentist second, with the office manager's mobile as the backup contact. Beside it, a staged after-hours call at 9:12 PM: the caller says their face is swollen and they have a fever, the words match the practice's protocol, and Leady calls the first on-call dentist.

Your protocol decides what's urgent.
Leady does not judge how serious anything is. It matches what the caller says to the signs your practice listed, and your protocol decides where the call goes.
Written with you, before the first call
The signs your practice treats as urgent, such as facial swelling, a knocked-out tooth or bleeding that won't stop, go into your Digital Twin at onboarding, and test calls check them before go-live.
No clinical advice, ever
Leady is not a clinician. It asks about urgency, routes the call, and never diagnoses or tells a caller what to take.
Medical emergencies and 911Coming
A 911 line for medical emergencies is being set with counsel. Dental emergencies go to your on-call dentist.
Tonight's dentist, from the roster you keep.
Your practice keeps the roster in its escalation settings, in the portal. Leady reads it for tonight's date and works down it in order.
An on-call roster
Who is on call each night and each weekend. Your team edits it in the portal, alone or with our support, and every change is recorded: what, who and when.
A backup order
First on call, then second on call, then the backup contacts you list, in the order you choose. If one person is unavailable, the next one is tried.
Who at what hour
Set the hours each person takes calls. A dentist who covers until 10:00 PM is not rung at 2:00 AM.
Sample on-call roster in the portal's escalation settings. Dr. A. Reyes is first on call on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and the associate dentist on Tuesday, Thursday and the weekend; the other is second on call. Tonight's backup order: first on call Dr. A. Reyes from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, then the associate dentist all night, then the office manager's mobile all night.

Rosters have gaps and phones go unanswered at night. When the whole order has been tried, the call still leaves a clear trail for your team.
A message in the caller's own words
Leady takes the caller's words and number and leaves them in the portal with the transcript, so whoever calls back knows exactly what was said.
An alert to your team
The people you choose are alerted that an emergency call needs attention. Alert emails carry no patient data; the details are in the portal, behind sign-in.
On the record in the morning
The call sits in your call log with its transcript and what happened, so the first person in sees it before the first patient arrives.
Ready for the days that aren't normal.
Florida practices know the hurricane week, the long holiday and the power cut. These are on the way, and our beta practices test them first.
Closure modeComing
For a hurricane, a holiday or a power cut: switch it on, and callers hear that the office is closed and what to do next.
Open Dental offline: message onlyComing
If your Open Dental server goes offline, Leady takes a message and offers no time, so it never books against a schedule it cannot see.
Your IT firm alerted tooComing
When the server drops, your practice and the IT firm you name are alerted, so someone can start on it straight away.
Design preview of two features that are coming: closure mode switched on for a hurricane closure, with callers hearing the practice's own closure message; and, with Open Dental offline, Leady taking messages only and offering no times while the practice and its IT firm are alerted.
Design preview · sample practice · demo dataQuestions about emergency routing
See all questionsIs emergency routing on every license?
Yes. Routing to your on-call dentist comes with every license, Free included, along with the three refusals.
Does Leady decide what counts as an emergency?
No. Your practice does. The signs you list at onboarding go into your Digital Twin, Leady matches the caller's words to them, and your protocol decides where the call goes. It gives no clinical advice.
What happens with a medical emergency?
A 911 line for medical emergencies is being set with counsel, and it is added only once counsel confirms the wording. Leady gives no clinical advice and does not judge how serious a call is.
What if the on-call dentist doesn't answer?
Leady tries the next person in your backup order. If nobody answers, it leaves a message with the caller's words and number and alerts your team.
Who keeps the roster up to date?
Your practice, in its escalation settings in the portal, alone or with our support. Every change is recorded with what changed, who changed it and when.
What happens during a hurricane closure?
Closure mode is coming, and our beta practices test it first. Until then, your practice can switch forwarding off itself at any time.
