One location. One front desk that cannot be on every line.
At most practices the person who answers the phone is also checking a patient out, taking a payment and chasing the next chair. Leady sits behind that front desk and picks up the calls it cannot get to, then books them into Open Dental for your team to approve.
Your phone rings hardest when your team is busiest.
Leady answers only when you tell it to. You forward your own line, pick the windows, and keep the rest of the day exactly as it is.
With a patient at the counter
The phone rings during a checkout. After the rings you choose, Leady picks up instead of voicemail.
On the other line
One person, two lines. The second caller hears your practice's greeting, not a busy tone.
Before you open, after you close
The calls that come at 7:30 AM or 6:05 PM get an answer, and a time your rules allow.
One day, four calls your front desk could not take.
A sample practice and a staged day. Each of these calls ends somewhere your team can see it: a held appointment, a transfer, a callback task or an escalation.

Maria L. calls about a chipped tooth before anyone is in. Leady holds Tuesday 8:20 AM in Op 2 with Dr. A. Reyes.
At 8:00 your front desk opens the approvals queue and confirms it in one click.

A new caller asks which plans you take. Leady names your in-network plans exactly as you typed them, then holds a new-patient exam for Wednesday at 10:40 AM in Op 3.
The prospective patient record, the appointment and the communication log entry are waiting after lunch.
Held · new patientStaged call · sample practice - 3:00 PMThe busy hour
Both lines are ringing and the front desk is checking a patient out. After four rings Leady answers a question about a statement, which it will not discuss, and transfers the caller to your office manager.
Nobody picks up, so it leaves a callback task and a notification with no patient data in it.

J. Whitfield calls with pain and swelling. Leady follows your emergency protocol, routes the call to the on-call dentist on your roster and holds the first slot tomorrow.
Tomorrow the record of the call is in the call log with its transcript.

Questions about a single practice
See all questionsDo I have to change how my front desk runs the day?
No. Your team keeps its phone, its schedule and its routine. Leady answers only in the windows you set, and your front desk approves what it holds.
Will it put a patient in the wrong chair?
It offers only the chairs, providers and appointment types you switched on for it, and our booking engine refuses to write a second appointment in the same chair at the same time.
What happens to a hold we decline?
It leaves the chair and moves to the Unscheduled List in Open Dental. Nothing is deleted, and the call stays in your call log.
Can I try it without it booking anything?
Yes. Free answers your calls, reads Open Dental and leaves each answered call as a message for your team to return. Tell us about your practice and we'll call you to set it up. Before a single real call on any license, you hear it on test calls.
Who sets it up?
On Base, we build your Digital Twin with you on a one-hour online call: hours, chairs, appointment types, on-call roster and the things it must never say. Afterwards you change your settings yourself, or with our support.
