QuestionsStraight answers, before you ask.
What a dental practice asks us about calls, booking in Open Dental, the BAA, recording, pricing and the beta. 75 answers in 13 topics, each one short enough to read between patients.
Getting started
Leady is the dental practice's AI partner. Today it answers the calls your front desk cannot get to and books them into your practice management system, held for your team's approval or booked directly, as you choose.
Not yet. We are onboarding our first Open Dental practices now, one at a time, and on the demo call we tell you exactly where that stands.
Request a demo, or apply for the beta if you run Open Dental in Florida. On Base we set everything up with you on a one-hour online call; on Free, tell us about your practice and we call you to set it up.
No. Onboarding is real work we do with your team. The Free license has no time limit instead: tell us about your practice, and we call you to set it up.
No. You forward your own practice line to Leady for the hours you choose, and you can switch the forwarding off yourself at any time.
It picks up the calls your team cannot get to and hands your front desk a queue to approve. Your team still runs the day.
How calls are answered
You choose at onboarding: after hours, during busy hours you define, and/or after a set number of rings, from three to six.
Yes. Leady is built to start every call by telling the caller they are speaking to an automated assistant and that the call is transcribed. The exact wording is set with counsel.
It follows the protocol you write with us: your practice name, the agent's name and tone, and what it may book, offer and refuse. You hear it on test calls before any patient does.
During the hours you set, Leady transfers the call to your staff. If nobody picks up, it leaves a callback task and notifies your team.
Leady asks about urgency and routes the call by your protocol, including to your on-call dentist, on every license. It never gives clinical advice.
English today, on every license. We add a language only once it is tested, and Spanish is the first we will test.
We do not promise that. A closure, an offline Open Dental server or an outage can leave a call unanswered or unbooked. On paid licenses there is no minute cap on inbound calls.
Booking and Open Dental
It checks your schedule chair by chair and offers a time your rules allow. By default the booking is held for your front desk to approve; with your written acceptance at onboarding, it can book directly.
A real appointment in the chosen operatory in Open Dental, marked as waiting, with a note. Your team confirms or declines it in the approvals queue.
The appointment moves off the schedule to the Unscheduled List. Nothing is deleted; your team clears it.
No. Our booking engine refuses a second write to the same chair and time, and that refusal is enforced in our database, not in application code.
An appointment in the chosen chair with a note, a communication log entry, an optional task, and a patient record only when needed: a new caller, created as a prospective patient. On Free, Leady writes nothing.
Only what booking needs: patients for lookup, appointments, schedules, operatories and providers. Never clinical notes, imaging, ledgers or payroll.
Not yet. Rescheduling and cancelling with an identity check are coming.
Digital Twin and onboarding
Your practice's own set of files that decide how Leady answers: refusals, safety, state rules, persona, knowledge, insurance, scheduling, protocol, escalation, links, a changelog and test calls.
On Base we build it with you on a one-hour online call. On Free, tell us about your practice and we call you to set it up.
Your hours, how you handle new patients, children and late arrivals, your on-call roster and transfer order, and your in-network plans written exactly as you want them said.
It is read from Open Dental: operatories, appointment types, durations, the provider-procedure map and blockouts. You confirm it during onboarding.
Yes. You edit your settings and protocol yourself or with our support, and every change is logged: what changed, who changed it and when.
Yes. We run test calls against your twin before any patient reaches Leady, and your twin keeps its own set of regression test calls.
Guardrails and patient safety
Three refusals hold on every license: no clinical advice, no treatment or insurance price quotes beyond your approved price list, and no balances. You can add refusals; you cannot remove these.
It can name the plans you are in network with, exactly as you typed them. It never says what a specific patient's plan covers.
No. On no license does Leady take card payments on calls, handle collections or file insurance claims.
Never. There is no voice-print or speaker-identification feature on any license.
Privacy, security and the BAA
Yes. No call is answered and no practice data is touched before your practice signs a BAA with us.
No. One BAA covers every license, so moving from Free to Base needs no new signature.
In a United States region.
Only your practice's authorized staff open calls in the portal. Nobody at Leady listens to call audio, and our development work never uses production data.
No. Leady is not SOC 2 certified.
Our BAA commits us to a first notice within 10 calendar days of discovery, with details added as we learn them.
No. Emails carry no name, phone number or visit reason; the details stay in the portal, behind sign-in.
Recording and consent
Audio recording is off by default in every state. Calls are transcribed, and the transcript is in your portal.
Some states require everyone on a call to consent to recording. We turn a state on only after counsel clears that state's consent line, and no state is cleared today.
Once your state is cleared, yes, per clinic. With audio on you set a retention period with automatic deletion, and every playback is written to an access log.
No. Nobody at Leady listens to call audio. Only your authorized staff can play it.
Pricing and licenses
Four, priced per clinic: Free at $0, Base at $599 a month, Pro at $799 a month, and DSO by contract. Pro and DSO are coming, and neither is sold yet.
Yes. On Base, Pro and DSO there is no minute cap and no fair-use line. Free includes 100 answered minutes a month.
Base is $5,990 a year: one charge, 2 months free, and no onboarding fee.
Yes, once: $599 on Base and $799 on Pro when you pay monthly. It is waived on yearly licenses, and Free has none.
No, never. It pays for building your Digital Twin with you, which is work done once.
By ACH or card, monthly or yearly.
We contact you first. Service continues for 7 days, then the license is suspended and calls are no longer answered; you can still sign in and see your past data, read-only.
Yes, once Pro is ready. The switch starts a new 12-month Pro contract, what you already paid is settled by the day, and there is no Pro onboarding fee.
No. Prices exclude applicable sales tax. There is never per-patient or per-appointment pricing.
Beta program
Early access for Open Dental practices in Florida: you test every new Leady product first, get 50% off every service for 24 months, and pay no onboarding fee.
Every service you use is billed at half the list price for 24 months, starting at go-live.
A limited number. We onboard beta practices one at a time, so seats are few.
Test each new product first, give us honest feedback, and take part in test calls.
At go-live, not at signature. Before go-live there are test calls only.
Free license
100 answered minutes a month, at $0 with no time limit. Leady reads Open Dental, every answered call becomes a message your team calls back, and the owner dentist holds the seat.
Tell us about your practice on the Start today form. We call you to set it up, state by state as each state is cleared, and we approve every Free clinic before it goes live.
A call in progress is never cut off. Later calls that month are not answered; each is logged as a count and a time for your practice, and your minutes reset next month.
No. Free reads Open Dental and never writes to it. The caller's reason and preferred times reach you as a message.
A real dental practice that has never held a paid Leady license. We approve every Free clinic before it goes live.
Yes. Your BAA carries over, and we build your full Digital Twin with you on a one-hour online call.
Outbound and growth (coming)
Not yet. Recall and reactivation, short-notice fill, no-show calls and speed to lead are coming, once counsel clears each kind of call.
With prepaid credits: 1,000 minutes for $999, valid for 12 months, on yearly terms. Only connected talk minutes count. Credits are not sold yet.
Not yet. SMS is available when it goes live, and we do not promise a date.
No. Ads, SEO and campaign management are not what we do. We act once a patient has reached out.
Other practice software and countries
Open Dental today, and only Open Dental. Dentrix, Eaglesoft and others: join the waitlist and tell us which one you run.
Through Open Dental's API, with a key your practice generates. A readiness check confirms the connection before go-live.
The beta is for Florida practices. Beyond the beta we open state by state, as each state clears our legal review.
Not yet. Canada, the UK and Australia are on the waitlist.
Each location is one clinic license. Groups and DSOs sign a contract with a master admin across locations and a 6-month minimum term. DSO is coming.
Support and cancellation
Open a ticket in the portal or write to support@meetleady.com. Please leave patient details out of tickets.
Switch your call forwarding back and calls ring your own line again. After termination no calls are answered, and you have 30 days to export your data.
We refund the unused days within 10 business days. Used time is charged as whole months plus the days of the current month; the onboarding fee is never refunded, and is charged if you cancel before your fourth billing month.
Only with 30 days’ notice, or immediately for cause, and call volume is never a reason. What you prepaid for unused time is refunded pro rata.
You can still sign in and see it, read-only. It is kept for a fixed retention period and then deleted under the BAA.
Talk to Leady.
Ask it what you would ask on the phone. It is a staged demo: no patient, no practice data. Or write to contact@meetleady.com and a person replies.
